Most AI startups today are focused on building for businesses. We believe the larger opportunity is bringing AI to consumers.
AI makes it economically viable to build products for communities that have historically been underserved by software. Lower league footballers, busy parents, university students, first-time home buyers, musicians, creators, language learners and thousands of other communities have unique problems, language and behaviours. They respond far better to products built specifically for them than to general-purpose AI.
We don't believe AI will produce one assistant for everyone. We believe it will produce thousands of products built for specific communities.
The companies that win will build compounding systems.
AI dramatically reduces the cost of building software. The bottleneck becomes discovering what people actually want.
Chronically Online is built around a single master agent: Mr Han.
Mr Han is the operating system behind the studio. Every experiment, insight and learning becomes immediately reusable across every future product. He identifies opportunities, researches markets, prototypes ideas, launches experiments, analyzes results and ensures every new test is informed by everything that has been learned before.

The best builders increasingly want to own what they create. Most startups offer less than 1% equity, making them a stepping stone rather than a long-term home for ambitious people.
We believe company structures should evolve to reflect this.
Once a product has demonstrated demand, we partner with operators to run it as founders. These are small teams that own 50% of the product they operate while benefiting from the shared infrastructure, capital, distribution and learnings of the studio. They receive founder-level ownership with the security of a salary.
